I just put a tampon in for the first time..?

so im pretty sure i put it in right... the only thing sticking out is the string and i cant feel it at all. but idk.. im just nervous. and idk why. i cant feel it, but just knowing that its in there makes me nervous. should i be nervous? when should i take it out? how can i be sure that its in right?
