How do I tell him I deserve more?

I was dating a guy and we broke up because he needed to work something out. He still tells me that he really does like me and would like to date again some day, but sometimes I feel like he is stringing me along. He tells me to move on but I don't want to really, I want him. I do know that I deserve more than what he is giving me and want to tell him no more sex unless we are dating, but I don't want to stop having sex with him. I am not a sleep with a bunch of guys because I am single kinda girl so that's out of the picture. I am in a real pickle here guys. I know what I feel and I know what I would tell a friend if she came to me in a situation like this but I need some outside help here. please please please help!
