Ladies: did i put in a tampon right?

kay its my first time using tampons.im 14,i read these freak stories about girls getting tampons stook in them or hurting to take it out.Well,i held it halfway,my fingers touched were the pointy thing was,put it in,took about 2 minutes to get the applicator in,and yes i tried pointing towards my back,and then pushed up and got it in.Only the string and a tiny part of the end is hanging out,you cannot see the end unless you seperate the walls.I cant realy sit because it feels weird,when i stand it feels like i have it in,doesnt bother that much,and when i run,feels like its bouncing wtf? did i put it in right> i really dont want to have to take it out and blahh -.-please help?! using playtex pearl regular btw.thanks
